Storing your data files in the cloud

You can store your RoomMate data files in the cloud using a file hosting service such as Microsoft's OneDrive. Here are the steps you should take:
  1. Create a folder in OneDrive called RoomMate.
  2. Install RoomMate on your PC.
  3. Copy all the files from the RoomMate folder on the PC and paste them into the RoomMate folder in OneDrive.
  4. Right click on the shortcut to RoomMate on your desktop, select Properties from the menu and then the Shortcut tab. Change "Start in" to the RoomMate folder in OneDrive.
You can share your OneDrive data files with other PCs if you wish to run RoomMate on more than one computer, even at different locations. To share the data on another PC:
  1. Install RoomMate on the PC.
  2. Right click on the shortcut to RoomMate on the desktop, select Properties from the menu and then the Shortcut tab. Change "Start in" to the RoomMate folder in OneDrive.
